Sisters Michelle Ovalle and Mary Smith launched Another Time Around, their semiannual consignment sale, four years ago to help moms swap baby items.

Attention all bargain-seeking parents: Get ready for Another Time Around, the semiannual children's consignment sale this weekend at the Largo Cultural Center.

Four years ago, sisters Michelle Ovalle, 36, and Mary Smith, 32, decided to create a forum where busy mothers could swap baby items. They rented space at the historical Largo Feed Store one weekend and invited families to sell their items on consignment. Their simple idea has grown from just 15 families to the more than 90 registered for this weekend's event.

"The growth has been so amazing," said Ovalle, a Largo resident. "Last year Mary and I didn't even get time to shop."

Due to this growth, the event has moved to the Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive.

Participants price their own items, everything is tagged and no haggling is needed. Shoppers can find everything from maternity clothing to large outdoor toys.

According to Ovalle, the sale continues to grow due to the quality of the items. Goods are screened for damage or stains and battery-operated items have batteries installed to demonstrate working condition.

The clothing at this weekend's sale will be spring and summer season and is organized by size: newborn to children's size 12.

"The moms are so excited about the bargains." Ovalle said. "We tell people to bring a laundry basket and a rope to pull it with."
