Current movies recommended by the Times:
1. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly - Four Academy Award nominations, including director Julian Schnabel, crafted this surreal adaptation of an extraordinary memoir.
2. Persepolis - Marjane Satrapi's memoirs of growing up in Iran inspire a unique experience, nominated for the best animated feature Academy Award.
3. Juno - Ellen Page is delightful as a pregnant teenager seeking adoptive parents for her baby. Winner of the Academy Award for best original screenplay.
4. There Will Be Blood - Daniel Day-Lewis is now a two-time best actor Academy Award winner, playing a dastardly oil tycoon (as if there's any other kind).
5. The Other Boleyn Girl - Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman play headstrong sisters courted by Henry VIII (Eric Bana).
