Man accused in shooting at strip club

NEW PORT RICHEY - Bryan Gregory Heater went to jail in Pinellas County in January, accused of grand theft and domestic battery.

He got out Jan. 13, and a little more than a month later, authorities say, he shot at three people during a melee outside a west Pasco strip club. One of the victims remains in critical condition.

Heater, 27, of 4333 Erie Drive, faces three charges of attempted murder. He was arrested about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday near his home.

Pasco sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said witness interviews led detectives to Heater, and the investigation continues.

"We believe we have the individual who fired the shots," he said.

The trouble started in the parking lot of Diamonds Gentleman's Club at 3935 Grand Blvd., near closing time Sunday, authorities have said. Heater and at least one other person were arguing with others in the crowd, and the confrontation turned violent.

Alexander Wilson, a bouncer at the club, was fired at, but not hit, Tobin said. Anthony Monti, 32, of New Port Richey, was shot in the left arm and treated at a local hospital.

Kellie Zorka, 27, of Holiday, who used to work at the club, suffered gunshot a wound to the head. She remains in critical condition, connected to a respirator, Tobin said.

"She's not doing well," he said.
