Festival: The Strawberry Festival, known for its entertainment and delicious strawberries, opens today in Plant City with exhibits, livestock, crafts and more. 10 a.m., today; 2202 W Reynolds St., Plant City; General admission is $5 for children ages six to 12, $10 for ages 13 and older and free for children five and younger. Development forum: The Tampa Downtown Partnership hosts its 12th annual Downtown Development Forum to discuss the latest trends in urban development and how it helps downtown Tampa. The forum will include experts in the areas of transportation, commercial office, retail, multifamily housing and hospitality. The keynote speaker will be Christopher Leinberger, author of a study that listed the Tampa Bay area as the least walkable metropolitan area in the country. 7:30 a.m. to noon, Friday, Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St., Tampa; admission is $60 for members of the Tampa Downtown Partnership and $70 for potential members. Digital boot camp: The International Academy of Design & Technology hosts a two-day Digital Boot Camp. Charity: Join the seventh annual Cigar City Celebration to benefit United Cerebral Palsy of Tampa Bay. The year's event will feature cigars from JC Newman Cigars, Arturo Fuente, Cuvee, and South Tampa Cigars.
