Lutheran school hosts gala: Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran School hosts its annual Winter Gala from 6:30 to 11 p.m. today at Blaise Alfano Center, 11606 McKinley Drive. This week at Congregation Beth Am: Bring a covered dairy dish to share for lunch during a presentation about social action in synagogues after Shabbat morning services Saturday at Congregation Beth Am, 2030 W Fletcher Ave. Adrienne Sundheim will explore biblical dysfunctional families during a class at the synagogue at noon Wednesday. House of Prayer Church events: House of Prayer Church, 710 Crenshaw Lake Road, offers a membership class at 1:30 p.m. the first three Sundays of each month. Lunch and child care are provided.
