Records through Wednesday 1. Plant (5-0): The Panthers are ranked nationally (No. 11 in the Rivals.com Fab 50 poll) for a reason, but district 5A-10 is tough. 2. Jesuit (6-0): The Tigers have been used to cruising in districts. With Plant, Hillsborough and Middleton now their competition, they won't anymore. 3. Alonso (3-1): Pitching is the Ravens' strength, but it is a solid and experienced team throughout. 4. Gaither (3-1): A potent offensive lineup, the Cowboys will give Alonso a run in the district. 5. Hillsborough (4-2): Offense aplenty. The Terriers have outscored opponents 39-5 in their wins. 6. Middleton (3-2): Slugger Jamie Mallard already has four homers, and aside from an ugly loss to Hillsborough, the Tigers have been steady. 7. Armwood (3-1): Wins over Wharton and Bloomingdale give the Hawks credibility and a leg up on the district.
