By Times Staff Writer

Barb Walker, who regularly watches a pair of bald eagles nesting in the Grey Oaks subdivision, suspects the male eagle found injured Thursday may have lost patience with a rowdy group of subadult bald eagles seen near the nest. So he attacked them. Walker said the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary hospital manager confirmed the injuries appear to be from another eagle. The fighter will be taken to Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland for more treatment.

Brown-Waite was the target of a protest by about 75 people angry over her characterization of Puerto Ricans as "foreign citizens."
She said she plans on returning to Washington once she knows more about her husband's prognosis.
