Still time to sign up for mini-cup golf tourney

Get your putters ready: The Largo/Mid-Pinellas Chamber of Commerce and its young professionals' organization HYPE Pinellas are teaming up to host the 2008 Largo Mini-Cup Golf Challenge.

The miniature golf tournament will be from 5 to 7 p.m. March 20 at Missing Links, 1201 East Bay Drive.

The event is being presented by Missing Links and is sponsored by Art Attack, VIP Market Watch, Tampa Bay Newspapers, Piper Fire Protection, Bailey Property Management, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Schiller International University.

Players are still welcome and can register as teams of four at $40 or individually to be put on a team at $15 a person. Proceeds will benefit the chamber's business programs.

Have coffee, network at Beef O'Brady's Thursday

The monthly business leads program Coffee An'Networking will be from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday at Beef O'Brady's, Pinellas Shopping Center, 841 West Bay Drive.

Business owners, learn practical tips, advice

Learn how to grow your business at a free workshop called "How to Make Your Business Thrive, Not Just Survive" from 6 to 8 p.m. March 11in the Jenkins Wing at the Largo Public Library, 120 Central Park Drive.

This workshop is intended for business owners in the first few years of operation. It contains valuable tips and practical advice for building a stronger business utilizing the essential business disciplines of money, management and marketing.
