FSU at North Carolina glance

TONIGHT FSU at No. 1North Carolina When/where: 8; Dean Smith Center, Chapel Hill, N.C. Radio: 1470-AM Records: FSU 17-12, 6-8 ACC; North Carolina 27-2, 12-2. Notable: The Seminoles have won three straight, all against ACC teams. They haven't won four consecutive league games since the 1992-93 season when they finished second (12-4). ... The Tar Heels, led by junior forward Tyler Hansbrough, the ACC's leader in scoring and rebounding (23.4 and 10.4), have won six straight and remain alive for the league's regular-season title. ... Star point guard Ty Lawson returned in the Tar Heels' comeback win against Boston College on Saturday. Lawson, who sprained his left ankle in the opening moments against FSU on Feb. 3, had five assists (one turnover) and four points in 21 minutes. Coach Roy Williams said Quentin Thomas will continue to start with Lawson probably playing 15 minutes or so. ... UNC leads the series 37-8 and is riding a seven-game winning streak, including 84-73 in overtime in Tallahassee last month. Brian Landman, Times staff writer
