Spa Beach Splash water education day is Saturday

ST. PETERSBURG

The Pier Aquarium's annual Spa Beach Splash and water education family day is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Roy G. Harrell Jr. Education Station and Spa Beach.

Visitors will be able to catch sea critters, dig for seashore artifacts and visit different exploration stations. Kids will get up close to animals in the water and on land.

Families will have an opportunity to learn about geocaching, a treasure hunting game where players use a GPS to hide and seek containers with others. Spa Beach Splash and water education day is free and open to the public. Call (727) 895-7437 or visit www.pieraquarium.org.

PINELLAS PARK

Minister to speak on marriage amendment

The Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, will speak on "How Hate and Confusion Can Ruin Your Constitution: A Religious Freedom Perspective on the Marriage Amendment" at 7 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Church, 6085 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park. Additionally, Nadine Smith of Equality Florida will give a brief update on the Marriage Protection Amendment.

Orchestra guild will showcase condos

The Florida Orchestra Guild of St. Petersburg presents its 34th annual Designers' Showhouse, which will feature two exclusive condominiums with panoramic water views in the new luxury high-rise, 400 Beach Drive, St. Petersburg.
