The Hernando County Solid Waste and Recycling Division has drop-off sites for recyclables. Accepted at the sites: paper (newspaper, paper bags and flattened cardboard), plastic (Nos. 1-2), aluminum and steel cans. Mail, glossy ads, plastic window envelopes and colored paper are not accepted. Items must be clean and sorted. Call 754-4112, ext. 122, for information.

Northwest Waste Management Facility: 14450 Landfill Road (off U.S. 98 N).

Weslyan Village: 8225 Wesley Drive.

East Hernando Transfer Station: SR 50 (east of I-75).
