ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Carrollwood Elementary School: 813 975-7640

The Carrollwood Elementary Golf Tournament is at 1 p.m. April 26 at Heritage Harbour Golf & Country Club, 19502 Heritage Harbor Parkway. Cost is $50 and $30 for children. Cost includes greens and cart fees and post-tournament party.

Volunteers are needed for Family Fun Day from 4 to 8 p.m. March 28. The event features carnival-style games, live and silent auctions, and more. Call (813) 469-0292.

More than 130 families will participate in the annual yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the school, 8411 Civic Road, Town 'N Country. Furniture, bikes, household items, electronics and more will be available. Proceeds benefit student programs and facility maintenance.

Volunteers are needed for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life on April 18 and 19. The New Tampa relay's theme is Broadway Shows - Let's Produce a Cure. The school needs 10 members for their Lion King-themed team. Proceeds benefit a cure for cancer. Call (813) 994-7535.

Sponsors and auction items are needed for the third annual Turner Elementary golf tournament April 26 at Pebble Creek Golf Club, 10550 Regents Park Drive. Proceeds from the event benefit the "Cover our Cubs" initiative for a permanent covered structure.

MIDDLE SCHOOLS

The PTSA is selling blue backsacks with the Warrior logo printed on them for $10. A sample is on display, and orders can be made in the front office.

The Parent Teacher Student Association seeks members, especially students. The cost is $6.

The steering committee is selling 4- by 8-inch engraved bricks for $25. Have it installed in one of the school's new gardens. The school also seeks a landscape or paver company to donate its services to install the bricks. Call (813) 975-7665, ext. 215.

Sponsors and donations for door prizes are needed for the third annual Golf Scramble at noon March 29 at Northdale Golf and Tennis Club, 4417 Northdale Blvd. The event will feature contests for putting, long drives and closest to the pin. HIGH SCHOOLS

IMPACT, Individually Motivated Performance by Computer Technology, is a one-year competency-based program that allows overage students an opportunity to graduate with their original class. Host an exchange student: World Heritage Student Exchange, a public benefit group, is seeking host families for its high school exchange program. Students are high-school-age boys and girls from France, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Mexico, Denmark, Italy and Switzerland.
