Spin and twirl to your heart's content at the newly renovated USA's Skateplex in Temple Terrace.

Formerly known as the Terrace Sports Hockey Facility, the 20,000-square-foot, smoke-free building has undergone a $150,000 makeover to include a resurfaced skate floor and new hockey walls and glass.

Owners Brian Cherry, Linda Pena and Jim Dvorak also have added a full-service concession area and a gaming section.

The current schedule includes public skating sessions 7 to 10 p.m. Fridays, noon to 3 p.m. and 3:30 to 6 p.m. Saturdays; a Christian Music Skate Night 7 to 10 p.m. Saturdays; Family Skate Days 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays; and Adult and Youth Hockey on weeknights.

There also are times available throughout the week and weekends for private parties, fundraisers, private birthday parties and corporate functions. Skating lessons will be coming soon.

USA's Skateplex is at 5313 E Busch Blvd. Call 813 989-2100.
