CLEARWATER - It's not the Pepper Mill anymore.

Owner Mark Marone has transformed the 20-year-old restaurant into the Belleair Grill and Wine Bar. The new look features interior and exterior improvements, a new menu with a few of the old favorites and a wine bar. Still to come is a deck for outdoor dining.

Customers can order a light, casual meal at the bar or a four-course feast with wine by the glass or bottle.

Jackie Ferraro of Interior Design Concepts in Largo was the guiding hand for the interior and exterior makeovers of the building at 1575 S Fort Harrison Ave., and Bloomers of Pinellas Park provided new landscaping.

Pollo Tropical opens Tampa Road location

Pollo Tropical has opened at 3134 Tampa Road in Oldsmar. The restaurant, the chain's second location in Pinellas County, specializes in marinated chicken grilled over an open fire and authentic Caribbean dishes.

Pollo Tropical opened in 1998 in Miami and in 1998 became part of the CarrolsRestaurant Group that also owns, operates and franchises under the Burger King and Taco Cabana brands.

Pollo Tropical has more than 80 restaurants in Florida and New Jersey and franchises in Puerto Rico and Ecuador.
