Beaches face critical choices

Tuesday, voters in communities up and down the beaches will select future leaders and decide issues ranging from how much they pay for fire protection services to whether the historic Snack Shack on Madeira Beach should be preserved. On St. Pete Beach, residents will choose a new mayor and two commissioners in a race that could tip the scales of two opposing views over development and how it should shape the city. Leaders throughout the state will be watching.

Voters need to vote in the ones with the most solid policies that will bring back tourism of all income levels that put the beaches on the map in the first place. Do I hear "hotel rooms"? No more condos please!
