Water is safe to drink after lines are fixed

Oldsmar - A boil-water notice issued Thursday in Oldsmar was rescinded Saturday.

According to the city, repairs were made and testing showed its more than 5,000 customers can safely drink the water.

The warning was issued after part of the city's main water transmission line along Forest Lakes Boulevard split in two about midnight Wednesday.

The Oldsmar Water Division can answer questions during weekday business hours at (813) 749-1226.
