WESLEY CHAPEL SR 56 extension to wiregrass mall to start The long awaited extension of State Road 56 east of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard will kick off with a groundbreaking ceremony on March 19 at 10:30 a.m. The road will take 11/2 years to complete, serve as the primary entrance for the $130-million Shops at Wiregrass mall, and eventually reach Meadow Pointe Boulevard. Forest City Enterprises, the mall's developer, is paying for the road and will announce mall tenants at the ceremony next week, a mall spokeswoman said. Local Republican club to meet The next meeting of the Wesley Chapel Republican Club is at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Wesley Chapel Hyundai Auto Dealership, 27000 Wesley Chapel Blvd., a mile west of Interstate 75. The guest speakers are clerk of the court candidate Dan Tipton and Pasco County Commissioner Jack Mariano. The Wesley Chapel Republican Club meets at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month and always welcomes new members and guests.
