Salam headed to USF
Palm Harbor University senior midfielder Thara Salamorally committed to USF over the weekend, making her the third current Hurricane to cast her lot with the Bulls. Salam also had an offer from Florida Southern College and a nonscholarship offer from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J.
"I wanted to stay close to home and I really liked the coaches and the campus," she said.
Salam, a Times all-county second-team selection and two-year member of the Countryside Lightning club team, joins PHU teammates Molly Stack senior midfielder and Ellycia Colon (junior defender) as Bulls commitments. Salam was a late commitment to USF after an injury sidelined her during her junior year.
