- "Time for Remembrance" ceremonies, 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. March 26, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 12260 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill. Facilitated by hospice chaplains and bereavement counselors, the ceremonies commemorate the cycle of life and hope for renewal. There is no charge to participate and no reservations are required. Children are welcome. The ceremonies will be outdoors under a canopy (rain or shine) and include music and readings. Those attending will also have the opportunity to publicly remember their loved ones. Each ceremony will be about 45 minutes and will be followed by light refreshments on the Hospice House porch. - Golf tournament with Silverthorn Country Club Golf Association, April 17, Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane, Spring Hill. There will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $80 per golfer, which includes golf, lunch and prizes. Non-golfers can pay $35 for the luncheon. Hole sponsorships are available. And, for $100, individuals or businesses can dedicate a hole in memory of a loved one. A golfer who sinks a hole in one on the eighth hole will win $5,000. Hole-in-ones made on other par 3 holes will win prizes such as a Dell computer, Bose wave music system or a set of Hogan BH-5 offset irons.
