He was a retired owner of Harris Upholstry, St. Petersburg, and Jake's Top Shop, Pinellas Park. He was Christian Adventist. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and member of the Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country CLub. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elvira E. He was a salesman for a chemical manufacturer, he attended the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y., he served in the Merchant Marine during World War II, he was active in the Boy Scouts and youth sports activities in Brandon, and was a lifetime member of the Brandon High School Athletic Booster Club.
