FOOTBALL: Derrick Jelks, a 1999 St. Petersburg Catholic graduate, has signed to play with South Dakota, a Division II school in Vermillion, S.D. Jelks (5 feet 10, 175 pounds), a defensive back who played the past two seasons for Scottsdale (Ariz.) Community College, led the Arizona Community Colleges Athletic Conference with six interceptions and was named first-team all-conference.
