Focus on volunteers
A.S.A.P., a women and children's shelter at 423 11th Ave. S, St. Petersburg, needs volunteers to help at the agency's drop-in center, registering visitors as well as replenishing the center after it closes. The drop-in center not only serves women and children, but homeless men as well, giving them a place to shower and receive mail. Volunteers would work daytime hours. For information, call Myrtle Ward at 823-5665.
