INVERNESS -- Property Appraiser Ron Schultz has announced that the deadline to apply for a homestead exemption is March 1. The Inverness and Crystal River property appraisers' offices will be open Feb. 28 and March 1 until 7 p.m. for those who have not applied for 2001 homestead exemption.
