Company delivers a surprise bill
Averitt Express made a delivery to my home in November, and I gave the driver a $50.61 check, which is what I was told I would be charged and which was also indicated on the invoice that I signed. Later I received a bill for an additional $75 for residential and inside delivery. Now, I can understand the extra charge of $25 for inside delivery. However, I consider it unfair to be charged an extra $50 because the delivery is made to my home. I live on a street that is easily accessible to large trucks; they regularly make deliveries to the country club at the end of the street. I also object to the surprise of the bill arriving after the delivery, which I thought I had paid for already.
