Children are charged with burglary of school
CARROLLWOOD -- Five children were charged with burglary Monday night after officials say they stole items from Cannella Elementary School, 10707 Nixon Road. Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies first noticed an 11-year-old running from the school. A canine unit found a 14-year-old hiding in the bushes, which led to three more arrests. Deputies say the group stole a boom box and a Game Boy. The children were taken to a juvenile detention center.
