A firm 'no' halts sales pitches
I received a phone call on Jan. 5 from a woman who stated someone would be in my neighborhood to take a survey and that for answering the questions, I would receive a free gift. I told her that my daughter was very ill with a muscular disease, and I did not have time to take a survey. She said she too had a son with a muscle problem and that she was involved with raising funds for research and perhaps next year I'd like to help. She scheduled an appointment for me to take the survey.
