Hernando gains from late loss
BROOKSVILLE -- It's atypical for a loss to serve as a positive turning point in a season.

Leopards, Eagles not at full speed in Kiwanis
Thursday's Kiwanis Invitational at Hernando was close enough that 10 points separated first place from third, but injuries kept the runner-up Leopards and third-place Springstead from competing at full strength.

Italian artist Felice Applauso, 28, recently returned to the United States and currently gives art lessons at the Jerome Brown Community Center in Brooksville. Applauso is an experienced illustrator who works in watercolors, acrylics, tempura, pencil, ink and charcoal.
