Captain's corner
Poor weather has hampered spring action, but we have gotten two to three days a week of tolerable winds. On these comfortable trips fish are aggressive and the action has been non-stop. Kingfish are scattered along the coast and can be found on just about every well-known hot spot in our area. When weather patterns improve, their migration will be in full swing. The key to success has been clear water, hard to find because the wind has stirred the water. April probably will be best for kings.

DUNEDIN -- Kenny Holmberg's two-run homer and Cody O'Connell's two-run double in the third inning led Dunedin to a 5-0 win over East Lake on Friday as the Falcons improved to 16-1. Pitcher Bryan Banks worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning and struck out eight in six shutout innings. The first inning proved to be the Eagles' best chance to score as Jeff Germano, Mike Guidi and Tyler Huegel singled with one out to load the bases. But Banks coaxed the Eagles into a popup and a groundout to end the inning.
