Former Olympian Chad Turner, who grew up in Clearwater, returned to home sand Thursday to help stage a demonstration ahead of the $150,000 Vollyhut Clearwater Beach Invitational. The competition begins with qualifying at 8 a.m. today and continues through Sunday on the Pier 60 south courts.
