  • BUCKNER, BEATRICE "JERRY," 70, of Homosassa, died Thursday (April 27, 2000) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Born in Elkview, W.Va., she came here 16 years ago from Page, W.Va. She was a home health care worker and member of First Pentecostal Church, Inglis. Survivors include two sons, Michael Swafford, Homosassa, and Glen Morris, Pinch, W.Va.; a daughter, Ruth Elswick, Homosassa; eight brothers; eight sisters; and four grandchildren. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Hernando United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4252, Hernando. He was a custodian for Hillsborough County Schools and a member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Garden.     • TOAL, JAMES G., 75, of Largo, died Wednesday (April 26, 2000) at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. He was born in Philadelphia and came here in 1972 from Wilmington, Del. He worked as an assistant manager for a cafeteria and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Largo. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Mary.     • CHEMELL, PAUL E., 93, of Pinellas Park, died Thursday (April 27, 2000) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. Born in Loraine, Ohio, he came here in 1972 from Cleveland, where he was a telephone repairman for Ohio Bell. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 6827, St. Petersburg.     • HAMPSHIRE, SANDRA B., 52, of Pinellas Park, died Thursday (April 27, 2000) at home. Born in Philadelphia, she came here in 1958 from Pennsylvania.     • BOLIN, WILLIAM L., 82, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (April 25, 2000) at Bay Tree ALF, St. Petersburg. He came here in 1945 from his native Indianapolis. He retired in 1979 as a professor after 29 years with St. Petersburg Junior College, where he was a founder of the Technical Engineering Department. He received his undergraduate degree from Butler University and a master of science degree from the University of Florida. He was a published author of math and science tutorial manuals and was a past member of the accrediting committee for the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. He received a presidential deferment from military service in World War II to work as a research engineer for Shell Oil Co. and Allison Engine. He was a member of Civitan Club and a past member of the Exchange Club. He was a member of Central Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Bill, St. Petersburg; a daughter, Bonnie Styles, Novi, Mich.; a sister, Lola Danison, St. Petersburg; and three grandchildren, Brett Bolin, Louisiana, and Miriam and Gannon Styles, both of Michigan. She was a member and past president of the Seminole Chapter of the All Children's Hospital Guild, and chairwoman of several committees for the All Children's Arts Festival. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Seminole, served more than 15 years as the Sunday School superintendent there, and was a member of the church Planning and Projection Committee, the Hospitality Committee, the Education Committee and a board member of the Growth and Faith Woman's Christian Organization. She worked as a manager for Popeye's Fried Chicken for six years at the Central Plaza location and also for Bojangles Restaurant, Tampa.
