New administrator to take Hernando Christian reins
BROOKSVILLE -- Hernando Christian Academy, which has had a vacancy in its administrator's office since fall, announced Thursday that a Wisconsin principal has been hired for the job.

Baby's injuries under investigation
SPRING HILL -- Authorities are investigating how a 10-month-old girl received serious injuries and nearly died Thursday night. The Spring Hill girl, whose name Hernando County sheriff's officials did not release, was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg and remained in very critical condition Thursday evening, said sheriff's spokesman Lt. Joe Paez. Authorities declined to release further information.
