BALULIS, ANTHONY EDWARD "TONY," 76, of Inverness, died Thursday (May 4, 2000) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., he came here 29 years ago from Tacoma, Wash. He was a technical sergeant with the Air Force and usher and member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6391 and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4337, Inverness. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Chase; a brother, Joseph, Baldwin, Mich.; and two sisters, Dorothy Balulis, Grand Rapids, and Helen, Rockford, Mich. Chas. E. BELL, JAMES M., 92, of Hernando, died Thursday (May 4, 2000). Born in Deerfield, N.J., he came here 29 years ago from Salem, N.J. Born in Baltimore, he came here 17 years ago from Lisle, Ill. and was superintendent of maintenance for a trucking company. He was Protestant. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hernando Beach, and a poll watcher for Precinct 17. He was the business manager of Tampa Maid and Florida Sea Fisheries. He was a Navy veteran. He was Catholic. BULLINGTON, JORDAN DANIEL, 57, of High Springs, formerly of New Port Richey, died Wednesday (May 3, 2000). Born in Ashburn, Ga., he lived in New Port Richey from 1950 to 1956. He was a supervisor of trucking for Sunnyland Packing and was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran. POOL, MAURICE UDELL, 84, of Las Cruces, N.M., formerly of New Port Richey, died Sunday (April 30, 2000) at University Terrace Good Samaritan Village. Born in Greenwood, Ind., he came here 20 years ago and moved to Las Cruces two years later. He was a civilian employee of the Navy during World War II, a hair dresser and business owner in Indianapolis, and a real estate salesman while in Florida. He was a member of the Unity Christian Church, a life member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine, the Elks Club, Indianapolis and New Port Richey, and the Kiwanis Club, Indianapolis. He was a supervisor for Farmer's Petroleum co-op and member of St. Mark Presbyterian Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the F & AM Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 150, the Civitan Club, all of Holt, and the High 12 Club and Shrine Club of Michigan. He was owner and operator of Paragon Pools and Joseph's Restaurant and Lounge, both in California, and Roman Catholic. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the New Port Richey Elks Club 2284, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a past member of the Eagles 3153. He was a retired electrical engineer for Illinois Power Co., Decatur, Ill., and graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Engineering, Minneapolis. He was a member of the Community United Methodist Church and past president and member of its men's club, Holiday. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Mufon Club, Clearwater, the Truth Seekers, and president and member of Commodore Computer Club, both of Holiday. CROWN, RONALD CHARLES, 57, , a lifetime resident of Clearwater, died Thursday (May 4, 2000) at home. He worked 35 years in the insurance industry and was an insurance executive with OneSource Group, a certified life underwriter and member of the Million Dollar Round Table. For the past 10 years, he dedicated his life to ministering to cancer patients. He was a 1965 graduate of the University of Florida, a member of Grace Christian Fellowship, a past vestry member of Episcopal Church of the Ascension and a leader at the Men's Thursday Morning Bible Study. He served as a director of Isaiah's Inn Inc., Christian's Help Inc. and Trust for Rehabilitation and Nurturing of Youth and Families. He was a past board member of the YMCA, Abilities of Florida Foundation and Morton Plant Hospital Foundation. He was treasurer of the Joseph F. Cornelius Family Foundation. He was a past co-chairman of the Morton Plant Charity Ball and an honorary chairman of the American Cancer Society's "Jail and Bail' fundraiser. He was a member of Golden Triangle, Carlouel Yacht Club and Clearwater Country Club. He was a recipient of the 1999 Community Activist Award for Pioneers in Prostate Camcer. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and pianist. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Karen Cornelius; two daughters, Kelly Freeman and Ginger Turner, both of Clearwater; his mother, Hazel Crown, Clearwater; two brothers, Bill and Bob, both of Clearwater; and two grandchildren, Casey Freeman and Elizabeth Freeman, both of Clearwater. KEANE, WILLIAM PATRICK, 82, of Clearwater, died Thursday (May 4, 2000) at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came here in 1981 from Bronx, N.Y. He was an electrical engineer and worked for Rockefeller Center in New York City. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of Light of Christ Catholic Church, Clearwater, Knights of Columbus and Top of the World Bowling League. He was a charter member and past president of the Exchange Club of North East St. Petersburg and a former Exchangite of the Year. He was a member of St. Petersburg Yacht Club, Quarterback Club, Mishawaka Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Egypt Shrine Temple.
