Santana concerts to be broadcast on Internet
Grammy-winning musician Carlos Santana has teamed up with an Internet company to broadcast live concerts and chat sessions targeting Spanish and Portuguese audiences. StarMedia Network Inc. will sponsor Santana's Supernatural tour this summer, which comes to Tampa's Ice Palace on July 21. StarMedia Broadband will provide Webcasts of Santana's shows. Santana said the Internet deal gives him a chance to "touch the lives of so many people in a borderless community of Spanish and Portuguese-speaking people throughout the world." Santana won eight Grammy awards this year, including top album for Supernatural and best record for Smooth.
