Moms are admitted free today at Lowry Park Zoo and the Florida Aquarium with a paid child's admission. The zoo, which houses two Komodo dragons, manatees, primates and more, is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 7530 N Boulevard, Tampa. Deadline Monday for play submission for festival
Deadline is Monday to submit an original, previously unproduced and unpublished play to Stageworks Theatre for a staged reading at Hillsborough Community College/Ybor Theater during the festival of original Florida plays in July-August. Preference is given to plays that encourage multiracial casting. Other guidelines: comedy or drama, minimal set/tech, small cast (maximum 6-8). Selected playwrights will receive $30.
