  • DOYLE, IOLA M., 76, of Beverly Hills, died Tuesday (May 16, 2000). Born in Providence, R.I., she came here 16 years ago from Coventry, R.I. She was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, Inverness, and the Stoma Club of Citrus County and a former member of St. Mathias Episcopal Church Altar Guild, Coventry. Survivors include her husband, Thomas O.; a son, Thomas A., Warwick, R.I.; a daughter, Susan M. He was retired from Southern Bell Telephone and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was an Army, Navy and Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the American Legion Post 99, Brooksville, the Family Motor Coach Association and the Roll 'n Rebels RV Club.     • LEWIS, KATHERINE W. "KAY," 90, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (May 16, 2000) at Palm Shores Retirement Center. A St. Petersburg native, she was a teacher with the Pinellas County School System and a graduate of William and Mary College and Mary Baldwin College. She was a member of Phi Beta Phi Sorority. A 1928 graduate of St. Petersburg High School, she later returned there to teach English for 10 years and was also head of the English Department at Disston Junior High School.     • TWITTY, BERT, 78, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (May 14, 2000) at Bayfront Medical Center. He came here in 1964 from Addison, Ill., where he was owner of Spartan Construction Co. and was a founder and commissioner of Little League Baseball. He was owner and operator of Algiers Motel, Treasure Island. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was Episcopalian. Survivors include his wife, Theresa; two sons, Bob, St. Petersburg, and Bert, San Antonio, Texas; a stepdaughter, Debi Sharp, Treasure Island; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.     • WEISER, PATRECIA ISABELL, 68, of St. Petersburg, died Friday (May 12, 2000) at home. Born in Catawba, Ohio, she came here in 1978 from Columbus, Ohio. She retired in 1994 as a registered nurse. In 1967 she was the first female letter carrier in Columbus, Ohio. She was treasurer of Letter Carriers Association in 1976-77, received an accounting degree at Franklin University, Columbus, and a nursing degree at age 52 from St. Petersburg Junior College. Survivors include two daughters, Janice M. Hannahs, Clearwater, and Christina Millar, Largo; two sons, Karl C., Winter Park, and Kevin L., Great Falls, N.C.; two brothers, Thomas R.     • HUFFMAN, WAYNE R., 71, of Anderson, Ind., a seasonal resident of Treasure Island, died Saturday (May 13, 2000) at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena. An Anderson native, he retired in 1991 from Delco Remy after 39 years of service. He was a member of Friendship Community Church, Treasure Island, and was active in Anderson city government. He was a member of Fellowship Masonic Lodge 681, Rooster Club and Anderson Horseman Association and was a past president of the Anderson Police Department Horse Patrol. He served as county Democratic Party chairman at one time and was a past member of the Safety Board. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Betty J.; a son, Wayne R.
