  • CROWEL, ROBERT BLAKE, 92, of Bushnell, died Friday (May 19, 2000) at Avante at Inverness. Born in Columbia City, Ind., he came here last year from New Port Richey and was a retired turbo operator for Consumers Power Co. He was a Methodist and a 32nd degree Mason.   • DELISLE, VELMA D., 68, of Floral City, died Thursday (May 18, 2000) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Born in Bradyville, Tenn., she came here three months ago from Lakeland and was a retired secretary for Indak Manufacturing, Redford, Mich. She was a member of Kathleen United Methodist Church and its Bible Study Group of Kathleen.   • DICKINSON, ELLWOOD H., 88, of Dunnellon, died Thursday (May 18, 2000) at home. Born in Camden, N.J., he came here 17 years ago from Port Charlotte and was retired after 30 years from the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lake Rousseau, the Masons and Scottish Rite, a founder of the Demolay, Morristown, N.J., an honorary life member of the Arizona and Florida sheriff's associations and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He took the last steam locomotive into the roundhouse in Pemberton, N.J. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Bishup; a daughter, Janice Doneux, Brentwood, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Joan Roten, Lecanto; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.   • OEHLSCHLAGER, ATHENA D., 21, of Clearwater, formerly of Crystal River, died Thursday (May 18, 2000) at home. Born in Bronx, N.Y., she moved to Clearwater last year and was an assistant manager for Albertsons Pharmacy, Clearwater. She was a 1997 graduate of Crystal River High School and a Lutheran. Born in Scott, Ky., he came here five years ago from Lexington, Ky., and was retired after 35 years as a technician for the Kentucky Army National Guard. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Warand a member of the American Legion, Floral City, Hillcrest Baptist Church, Lexington, and Citrus Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.   • CREIGHTON, RUPERT D., 94, of Tampa, died Friday (May 19, 2000). He was born in Spotts, Cayman Islands, and came here in 1920. He was owner of Creighton Brothers Awning Co. and a member of Lake Carroll Baptist Church. He was a member of the Gideons Ministry and Tampa Bay Baptist Brotherhood Association. She was a Protestant, an 18-year volunteer in radio and TV for the Girl Scouts of America, a troop leader for Brownies and Girl Scouts, Cleveland, and volunteer for the Cleveland Clinic Maternity Ward.     • HELMS, ANNA MAE, 100, of Glasgow, Ky., formerly of Largo and Clearwater, died Thursday (May 18, 2000) at a nursing facility in Glasgow. She was born in Kentucky and came here several years ago. She retired as a third-grade teacher in Clearwater and was a member of First Baptist Church of Largo. Survivors include two grandsons, Briann Helms Roberts, Largo, and Bruce Helms Roberts, Indian Head, Md.; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the owner and operator of a gift shop in several Pinellas County locations, including the Hungry Fisherman Restaurant, Indian Rocks Beach.     • CANNON, WILBUR FIDLAR, 92, of Seminole, died Saturday (May 20, 2000) at Balmoral assisted-living facility, Palm Harbor. He came here in 1972 from his native Davenport, Iowa, where he was the owner and operator of an office supply company. He was a member of Pasadena Community Church. He was a past president of the American Philatelic Society, treasurer of the American Red Cross Illinois-Iowa Chapter, and a member of the board of directors of Northwest Bank and Trust Co. and executive secretary of the Knife and Fork Club, both in Davenport. He was a Mason, a member of the Moose lodge and the Kiwanis Club, and a lifetime member of the Elks. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mariam; a son, Wilbur F.     • WETZEL, ROBERT JAMES, 78, of Easley, S.C., formerly of Seminole and New Port Richey, died Thursday (May 11, 2000) in South Carolina. He was born in Milwaukee and came to Seminole in 1967. He moved to New Port Richey in 1991 and to Easley in 1998. He worked as an inventory control specialist for General Electric Co. and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Abiding Peace Lutheran Church, Easley, and a former member of Bay Pines Lutheran Church, Seminole, and Tarpon Woods Golf Club. He was born in Piotrkow, Poland, and came here in 1962 from Washington, D.C. He was a patent attorney for the United States government. He was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, and National University Law School, San Diego. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1719, Tarpon Springs, Tarpon Springs Yacht Club, the National University Law School Alumni and the MIT Alumni Association.     • WHITE, JAMES EARL, 53, of Tarpon Springs, died Friday (May 19,2000) at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs. He was born in Cartersville, Ga., and came here in 1982 from Atlanta. He was the owner of EPI Distributors, a wholesale food company. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Palm Harbor, and the Orlando and Tampa Chefs Association. He was a past president of Oakleaf Homeowners Association. Survivors include a daughter, Hannah Dole, Spanaway, Wash.; three brothers, Jerry Cole, Scotts Valley, Calif., Elliott Cole, Denton, Texas, and David Cole, Las Vegas; a sister, Karen Widdoes, San Jose, Calif.; his parents, Eli and Adele Cole, St. Petersburg; and his companion, Jean Melvin.     • HUCKS, FRANK B., 78, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (May 17, 2000) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute, St. Petersburg. Born in Lodge, S.C., he came here in 1955 from Agana, Guam. He served 20 years in the Coast Guard and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Locally, she was in charge of the gift shop at Presbyterian Towers for six years.
