Two-hour parking returns to Inverness historic district
INVERNESS -- The controversial black bags that were draped over downtown parking signs a month ago were removed this week, signaling the return to two-hour parking in the historic district. City workers had covered the signs to create unrestricted parking in front of the downtown shops while about 30 spaces in the Main Street parking lot were closed for a soil decontamination project. Now that the project is nearing completion -- the lot just needs a seal coat and paint stripes that should go down Tuesday -- the downtown parking situation is back to normal, said Bill Wiley, director of Development Services for Inverness.

WILDWOOD -- With little fanfare, the District 13 Health and Human Services Board met for the last time Thursday.

LECANTO -- Seven Rivers Christian School graduates its first senior class tonight. The graduates were the school's first freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors, said principal Scott Jackson.
