I found Caroline Marlette's book Denver to be largely derivative of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings and J.D. Salinger, although it had definite Proustian overtones and a certain deconstructive influence that was not quite successful in disguising its dialectical approach to the existential angst of adolescent boys growing up a la William Golding in a rural and sometimes ominous, almost threatening environment.

Budget bypass upsets tourism officials
BROOKSVILLE -- Some members of the Tourist Development Council are upset that they had no say-so in the agency's proposed budget.
