WASHINGTON -- The Federal Aviation Administration threatened Friday to shut down major maintenance overhauls at Alaska Airlines, which would ground the airline within months.

Federal prosecutors say the trail leads from the body of Sheila Bellush through three men to her ex-husband, Allen Blackthorne. At his trial, which begins Monday in San Antonio, Texas, they hope to prove that he was the leader of the conspiracy.
