He came here 14 years ago from his native Hudson, Mass., and was retired after 23 years as a truck driver for Inland Express. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a Protestant and a member of the Military Order of Cooties Post 68, VFW Post 8189, Homosassa, American Legion Post 159, Crystal River, Moose Lodge 2013, past commander VFW and Amvets 208, Local 170 Retirees Chapter, the Homosassa Crime Watch and a volunteer for Connell Heights Fire Department, Hudson, Mass. Survivors include his wife, Kay Frances Crymer; three sons, Wayne and David Grant, both of Marlboro, Mass., and Donald Bullock, Saddlebrook, N.J.; five daughters, Pamela Mix, Sheryl Height and Lisa Grant, all of Marlboro, Rebecca Long, Long Beach, N.J., and Kimberly Bonora, Oceanport, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Born in Warthen, Ga., he came here six years ago from Rockville Center, N.Y., and was a retired tugboat engineer and dock master for Point Lookout, N.Y. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Homosassa, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Guiding Light Lodge, Uniondale, N.Y., and the Scottish Rite. HOULE, WILLIAM ROGER SR., 62, of Lecanto, died Thursday (June 1, 2000). Born in Burlington, Vt., he came here nine years ago from Brooklyn, Conn., and was a retired construction worker. He was a Catholic and a guitar player for many bands. Survivors include a son, Phillip, Lecanto; a brother, Roger, Connecticut; seven sisters, Jane Ferguson, Lecanto, Linda Provost, Homosassa, Theresa Trotter and Beverly Johnson, both of Connecticut, Rita Simard and Catherine Somers, both of Vermont, and Harriet Sargent, Kentucky. Born in Chicago, he came here 14 years ago from Naperville, Ill., and was retired after 35 years as a senior industrial engineer for AT&T. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Spring Hill, the Timber Pines Golf Club and American Legion Post 80, Downers Grove, Ill. Survivors include his wife, Lorayne; two sons, Thomas, Vernon Hills, Ill., and James, Streamwood, Ill.; his mother, Elsie Hughes, Oaklawn, Ill.; a brother, George, Berwyn, Ill.; and a grandson. Born in Washington, D.C., he lived in the Tampa area most of his life. He was the founder of Alverson's Auto Repairs and a member of North Rome Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Beacon Woods Golf Club and Eucharistic minister at Bayonet Point Hospital and St. Michael Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Esther; a son, Alen, Davenport, Iowa; two daughters, Sister Virginia Ann Froehle and Theresa Ganote, both of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Born in New York City, he came here 20 years ago from Trenton, N.J., and was a production planner for the DeLaval Turbine Co., New Jersey. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church, Trenton. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; a daughter, Kathleen Hagaman, Odessa; two sisters, Lena Caserta, Trenton, and Jean Reino, Millburn, N.J.; and two grandsons.
