BURSON, FLORENCE E., 90, of Inverness, formerly of Largo, died Friday (June 2, 2000) at home. Born in Troy, N.Y., she came here 10 years ago from Largo. She was a homemaker and a Jehovah's Witness, Hernando Congregation. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara G. Peek, Inverness; and two grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Brooksville.
DUKE, AMANDA LYNN, infant daughter of Michael Duke and Julia Van Aacken, of Inverness, died Thursday (June 1, 2000) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. HOBBY, JESSE THOMAS JR., 63, of Inverness, died Sunday (June 4, 2000). Born in Worth County, Ga., he came here 22 years ago from the Philippines. He was a retired master sergeant with 25 years of service in the Air Force, serving in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Inverness, and the Sunrise Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Leonard Wood Masonic Lodge, Philippines, the San Juan Consistory Scottish Rite, Afifi Shrine Temple, Tacoma, Wash., and charter member of the Inverness Sertoma Club. TOLLEY, CHARLES CLAIR, 83, of Inverness, died Monday (June 5, 2000). Born in Ripley, W. Va., he came here 34 years ago from Melbourne. He was a retired contractor and member of Inverness First Baptist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 70. Survivors include three sons, C. CARIDEO, LAURA GRACE, 82, of Auburn, Wash., formerly of Spring Hill, died Monday (June 5, 2000). Born in Erie, Pa., she came here 15 years ago and moved to Washington five years ago. She was a bookkeeper for General Telephone and Plestek Industries, both of Erie. She was a former member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill, and the Elks Lodge 2582, Brooksville. HARRISON, RUBIE LATHINA, 88, of Spring Hill, died Monday (June 5, 2000) at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. Born in Anderson County, S.C., she came here 55 years ago from Gray, Ga. She was a retired fruit packer and member of Lutz Baptist Church. He hosted a children's television show called My Favorite Pixie at KCLA, Las Vegas. He was Protestant. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. - CONWAY, THOMAS M., 50, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (June 4, 2000) at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. He came here in 1984 from his native Chicago. He was an operating engineer in the construction industry in Chicago and a counselor for Operation PAR, St. Petersburg, and Charter Behavioral Health Systems, Bradenton. - COSTAS, GUS JAMES, 41, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (June 6, 2000) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. Born in Warren, Ohio, he came here in 1976 from Howland, Ohio. He was a plumber. - FORSYTH, JOYCE M., 71, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (June 6, 2000) at home. Born in Gastonia, N.C., she came here in 1965 from Mars, Pa. She was a homemaker and a member of Maximo Presbyterian Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Gardner Webb Junior College, Boiling Springs, N.C., and a 1952 graduate of Furman University, Greenville, S.C. She was a volunteer for the former Drug Rehabilitation Center (now Operation PAR) for seven years and at the Young Women's Residence, (now Brookwood Young Women's residence) for 17 years. - GEISLER, PAUL JR. "DANNY," 38, of Bristol, Va., formerly of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (May 25, 2000) as the result of a trucking accident in Tennessee. A St. Petersburg native, he was a welder for 15 years at Newport News (Va.) Harbor Yard. For the past three years he worked as a truck driver for Pro Transport of Iowa. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. - MUSCHOTT, EDITH, 94, of Fort Pierce, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Friday (June 2, 2000) at St. Lucie Restorative and Nursing Care Center, Port St. Lucie. Born in Orchardville, Ill., she moved to Fort Pierce 21 years ago from St. Petersburg. She was owner and operator of a beauty shop in Chicago in the 1930s and operated the Beach Apartments, Gulfport, for 30 years.
