  • BREWER, DALLAS C., 68, of Lecanto, died Monday (June 5, 2000). He came here 19 years ago from his native Herrin, Ill., and was a retired brick layer. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Local Bricklayers & Craftsmen 21, Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Frances Murphy; three sons, Robert, Herrin, James, Morgan City, La., and Herman, Louisiana; two stepsons, Edward McGowan, Kenneth City, and William McGowan, Crystal River; two daughters, Becky and Katy Simpson, both of Marietta, Ga.; three stepsisters, Theresa Sciortino, Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y., Carolyn Funk, Homosassa, and Cathy Holland, Lecanto; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.   • COALE, DENNIS S. JR., 78, of Crystal River, died Monday (June 5, 2000) at home. Born in Darlington, Md., he came here 15 years ago from Fort Lauderdale and was a long distance truck driver.   • CUMBA, RAYMOND SR., 94, of Inverness, died Tuesday (June 6, 2000) at home. He came here 11 years ago from his native Puerto Rico. He was an owner and operator of a taxi cab company and an Army veteran of World War II. He was Lutheran. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of the West Citrus Elks Lodge, and co-pilot of Gulf to Lake Pilot Club of Citrus County. Survivors include his wife, Maryland H.   • WOODWARD, EUGENE E., 25, of Tampa and St. Petersburg, died Saturday (June 3, 2000) as the result of an automobile accident on Interstate 275 in Tampa, just north of Busch Boulevard. A St. Petersburg native, he was a 1993 graduate of St. Petersburg High School. A student at University of South Florida Medical School, he was a member of Delta Zeta chapter of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church.   • KIDNEY, MILFORD L., 85, a winter resident of Belleair Bluffs died Tuesday (June 6, 2000) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was born in Wade, Maine, and was a winter resident for many years from Presque Isle, Maine. He owned and operated Bangor Typewriter Co. and the Milford Kidney Co., and was affiliated with other office machine sales companies in Portland, Maine, andNew Hampshire. For 29 years, he worked seasonally at Lock Dam on Chamberlain Lake for the Bangor Hydro Electric Co. and the Bureau of Parks and Recreation registering canoeist along the Allagash Wilderness waterway. He graduated from Ricker College, Houlton, Maine. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Largo, and Presque Isle Wesleyan Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Boone; a son, Jeffrey Ashton, Seattle; four sisters, Helen Umphrey, Belleair Bluffs, Charlotte Kelly, St. Petersburg, Mary Dempsey, Spring Hill, and Eva Hornik, Exeter, R.I.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.     • ATTAR, ANDREW M., 66, of Clearwater, died Monday (June 5, 2000)at home. He was born in Damascus, Syria, and came here from Long Island, N.Y. He graduated from University of Texas and earned his doctorate from New York University. He was a registered professional engineer and an airport planner. He owned and operated Attar Aviation Services, Clearwater, and had more than 32 years' experience in management and administration of aviation and transportation systems. Among his achievements was working as project manager at Brunci International Airport in Darussalem, the New Hong Kong International Airport, the Amman International Airport, Jordan, the Southern Taiwan International Airport, the Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport. He was an engineer and planning manager for 25 years in the Aviation Department of the Port Authority in New York and New Jersey and he served five years as chief of city planning in Damascus. Survivors include his wife, Patt Hronkin; a son, Thomas Rutherford, Clearwater; two daughters, Dr. Laila Attar, New Port Richey, and Jasmine Lindquist, Austin, Texas; a stepdaughter, Heather Rutherford, Largo; four brothers, Riad, Lake Jackson, Texas, Emad, Houston, Texas, Wahib, Paris, and Ziad, Damascus; a sister, Najah, Damascus; and two grandchildren. He worked as a supervisor at the toll bridge on Belleair Beach Causeway and formerly owned and operated Shady Dell Trailer Park, Largo. He attended First Christian Church of Largo. Survivors include his sister, Ada Boyd, Largo; two nephews, Lloyd Hughes, Largo, and John Boyd, Dunedin; and a niece, Joyce Brown, New Port Richey.     • SIPP, MARGARET M., 91, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (June 6, 2000) at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. She came here in 1955 from her native St. Louis. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, St. Petersburg. She was a volunteer for Neighborly Senior Services. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte M.     • SLOCUM, IRMA L., 93, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (June 5, 2000) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. Born in Hackensack, N.J., she moved to Gulfport in 1970 from Columbus, Ohio, and moved to St. Petersburg in 1999. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and OES. She was a past president and director of the Barclay Building at Town Shores for many years and was an active member of Gulfport Presbyterian Church since 1971.     • THOMAS, JAMES W. JR., 81, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (June 4, 2000) at Beverly Health Care, Largo. He came here in 1973 from his native New York City, where he retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 369th Brigade. He was a member of St. Batholomew's Episcopal Church. Survivors include a son, James W. A student at University of South Florida Medical School, he was a member of Delta Zeta chapter of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church. He retired in 1971 as a bus driver after 30 years with the Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority and was a member of New York Retired Transit Workers, Seminole. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lottie; two sons, Kenneth, Lake Hopatcong, N.J., and Harvey, New York City; two daughters, Marilyn Taylor, Jamesburg, N.J., and Lorna Yerkes, Waldwick; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
