CACIOLO, ANNA, 87, of Lecanto, died Thursday (June 8, 2000). She came here six years ago from her native Allentown, Pa. She was a retired seamstress in the clothing industry. She was Catholic. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Yurkovitz, Inverness; two brothers, Michael Pavlick, Allentown, and George Pavlick, Macungie, Pa.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. CHRISTENSEN, CECELIA F., 84, of Lecanto, died Wednesday (June 7, 2000) at Brentwood Healthcare Center, Lecanto. Born in Oil City, Pa., she came here two years ago from Marquette, Mich. She was a graduate of the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing and was head obstetrics nurse at Marquette General Hospital. She was Catholic. LACORAZZA, AUGUST "AUGIE," 80, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday (June 8, 2000) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. Born in Bari, Italy, he came here 12 years ago from Roosevelt, N.Y. He was a custodian for the state of New York, former chief of the Roosevelt Fire Department and a life member of the Roosevelt Exempt Firemen's Association, New York. He was Catholic. He was a volunteer at the Bonati Institute for many years and a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hernando Beach, and the Forest Oaks Civic Association. Survivors include his wife, Audrey; a son, August R. LEWIS, WILLIAM V., 89, of Beverly Hills, died Friday (June 9, 2000). Born in New York City, he came here 26 years ago from New Fairfield, Conn. He was a retired machinist in the pharmaceutical industry and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a charter life member of the Harry F. Nesbitt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10087, and a member of the Volunteer Fire Department, both of Beverly Hills. MORRIS, WESLEY DONALD, 83, of Inverness, formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (June 7, 2000). Born in Chicago Heights, Ill., he came here 33 years ago from Tampa. He retired from MacDill Air Force Base as chief of intelligence with 29 years of service. His service in the Air Force included World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was Methodist. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 70. JENKINS, WILLIAM, 82, of Brooksville, died Thursday (June 8, 2000) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. BARBER, PAUL EDWARD, 89, of Seffner, died Friday (June 9, 2000) at Brandon Regional Hospital. Born in Seffner, he lived there all his life. He retired after 25 years as a mechanic for Ferman Chevrolet. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Methodist. He was a computer analyst for the government. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 114, the VFW and was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was Protestant. SALMAN, THE REV. DONALD ROBERT, 78, of Hinesville, Ga., formerly of Lutz, died Wednesday (June 7, 2000) at Hospice Savannah. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. He was a Priest-in-Charge of St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Hinesville and served in churches in Connecticut, Florida and Missouri. He was ordained a priest in 1958 with the Diocese of Western New York and was a graduate of Berkley Divinity School at Yale University. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and served on the Destroyer Escort 390 as a pharmacist's mate. He was a machinist and owned a welding company in Largo. He was a pilot during World War II. He worked 31 years for Clawson Concrete in Detroit and then for Angelo Concrete. He was working for the Michigan Foundation, Detroit. He was an Army veteran and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Clearwater, and Third New Hope Baptist Church, Detroit. He received a degree in engineering from Connecticut University, served with the Army Air Forces as a navigator on B-29s during World War II, and achieved the rank of first lieutenant. - CHAPMAN, CHARLES J., 66, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (June 8, 2000) at home. He came here in 1970 from his native New York City. He was a sheet metal worker in the air conditioning industry and a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a 30-year member of the Professional Bowlers Association and toured as a senior bowler for eight years. He was an avid motorcyclist. She came to St. Petersburg in 1929 from her native Kalamazoo, Mich., and moved to California in 1941. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed cooking, gardening and bowling. - HOFFMAN, FRANCES DUFFY, 98, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Port Richey, died Thursday (June 8, 2000) at Colonial Care Center, Kenneth City. Born in Londonderry, Ireland, she moved to Port Richey in 1972 from New York City and to St. Petersburg in 1994. She worked as a secretary for the Waldorf Towers and was a first class stewardess for the USS United States. She was a member of the National Maritime Union. She retired after 40 years with the Veterans Administration and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a president of United Methodist Women, youth director, and served on the Nurture Committee and the Administrative Counsel. - MYRICK, STEVEN R., 52, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Safety Harbor, Clearwater and New Port Richey, died Wednesday (June 7, 2000) as a result of an automobile accident on U.S. 19. Born in Independence, Mo., he moved to the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area in 1985. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the New York Times 1999 "Chef Magic" award while working at Queen's Grill. He was a veteran of the Polish Navy and was Catholic.
