  • DAVIS, ROBERT E., 95, formerly of Inverness and Port Richey, died Tuesday (June 13, 2000) at Lake Ridge Village, Eustis. Born in Norris City, Ill., he came here 22 years ago from Port Richey and was a retired building contractor. He was Presbyterian. Survivors include a son, Gerald K., Saline, Mich.; a daughter, Roberta J. DeBoard, Bellingham, Wash.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Chas. E.   • CRAYTON, HARRY LEE, 79, of Spring Hill, died Saturday (June 10, 2000). Born in Bigelow, Ark., he came here two years ago from Orlando and was an insurance investigator. He was Lutheran. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, a prisoner of war survivor of the Bataan Death March and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.   • POWERS, DONALD RAY, 56, of Inglis, formerly of Tampa, died Saturday (June 10, 2000) at home. Born in LaGrange, Ga., he lived in Tampa since 1965 before moving to Inglis a year ago. He was an electrician for Tampa Electric for 20 years. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 424 where he was a past commander and was a member of Post 8698 in Inglis. He received the Purple Heart while serving with the Marine Corps during the Vietnam war. He was a member of Military Order of the Purple Heart. Born in Laurel Hill, he came to Zephyrhills 10 years ago from Tampa and was the owner/operator of an asphalt maintenance business. He was Mormon. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired as chief master sergeant from the Air Force, serving in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was Lutheran. He was a lifelong Clearwater resident and graduated in 1980 from Clearwater High School. He worked as crew leader at McDonald's in Largo. He was a member of Bayview Baptist Church, where he sang in the Bayview Harmoneers, served on the usher board and was a member of the Brotherhood.
