Developer buys YMCA, envisions condos
ST. PETERSBURG -- Developer Grady Pridgen has purchased the historic YMCA for $845,000 in a deal approved Wednesday by the Y's board of directors, said Doug Linder, St. Petersburg Family YMCA president and chief executive officer. The sale was precipitated by the agency's plan to build a larger facility in the Central Plaza neighborhood.
