Ceramics classes offered at community center
TARPON SPRINGS -- The Tarpon Springs Community Center, 400 S Walton Ave., holds ceramics and clay classes from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays. A four-week session costs $40 for city residents and $43.21 for non-residents. A fee for materials also is charged.
Cancer screening exams available
The Pinellas County Health Department's Largo Health Center, 12420 130th Ave. N, Largo offers screening exams for breast and cervical cancer for women ages 50 to 64 who are uninsured or whose insurance doesn't fully cover such services. Pap smears, mammograms and clinical breast exams are included.
New community officer keeps an eye on Seminole
