BROWN, SARAH Y., 79, of Inverness, died Friday (June 23, 2000). Born in Morehead, N.C., she came here six years ago from Greensboro, N.C. She was a Methodist. Survivors include two sons, Ronald, Inverness, and David, Greensboro; five sisters, Juanita King, Mary Evans, Dorothy Johnson, Maggie Eubanks, and Pauline Cook, all of Greensboro; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. FOGARTY, GRACE MARTHA, 91, of Inverness, died Saturday (June 24, 2000) at Brentwood Health Care. Born in Jamaica, N.Y., she came here last year from Ocala, and was a retired secretary for the New York Telephone Co. She was Methodist and a member of the Eastern Star. GLIXMAN, MORRIS I., 84, of Beverly Hills, died Friday (June 23, 2000). He came here 20 years ago from his native Worcester, Mass., and was a retired optometrist and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of B'nai B'rith, the Jewish War Vets, the National Federation of the Blind, Jewish World Congress, the Rotary Club and the Jewish Health Center, both of Worcester. He was also a trumpet player for the Citrus Community Band and Center Stage Band. Survivors include his wife, Saras Goldstein; a son, Edward, Boston, Mass.; a daughter, Elizabeth Glixman, Worcester; a brother, Harry, and a sister, Charllotte Glixman, both of Worcester. HUFF, HARVEY L., 77, of Beverly Hills, died Friday (June 23, 2000). Born in Baltimore , he came here 10 years ago from Spring Hill, and was a retired manager for air brakes for the Long Island Railroad and an Army veteran of World War II. He attended the Hernando United Methodist Church, was a volunteer tax preparer, and member of the AARP. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ackison; two sons, Carl, Mongo, Ind., and Cary, Las Vegas; a daughter, Susan Kemp, St. Michaels, Md.; three stepsons, Robert Marshall, Sacramento, Calif., and Brian and Brad Marshall, both of Atlanta; two stepdaughters, Linda Morris, Columbia, S.C., and Patricia Crissey, Anchorage, Alaska; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. NUNEZ, ANTONIA, 94, of Tampa, died Saturday (June 24, 2000) at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Cuba, she came here in 1948. She was a homemaker and was Catholic. PALUCH, DANIEL FRANCIS, 69, of Valrico, died Friday (June 23, 2000) at home. Born in Pulaski, Wis., he came here in 1979 from Milwaukee. He was a retired sales manager in the grocery industry. POSSON, LAWRENCE E., 74, of Tampa, died Friday (June 23, 2000) at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Henrietta, N.Y., he came here in 1972 from Penfield, N.Y. He was a salesman for Steel Co. REIGNER, WILLIAM MILES JR., 72, of Riverview, died Saturday (June 24, 2000) at Brandon Hospital. Born in Roxborough, Pa., he came here in 1955. He retired as a communications coordinator after 25 years with the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and F.O.P. Lodge 108 where he was a master captain. He was Baptist. Born in Detroit, he came here 10 years ago from Rochester Hills, Mich., and was a bank president and real estate broker. He attained the charter for Warren Bank, Warren, Mich. LABAN, THEODORE T., 41, of Port Richey, died Friday (June 23, 2000) as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Muskeegan, Mich., he came here five years ago from Salem, Ohio, and was a truck driver for a commercial freight hauling company. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a Christian. PLAYWIN, RAYMOND T., 86, of Holiday, died Saturday (June 24, 2000) at the Hospice of Pasco Residence, New Port Richey. Born in Auburn, N.Y., he came here 30 years ago from Oak Park, Mich., and was a retired technical writer for the Freuhaf Trailer Co., Detroit. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and former Deputy Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator of Knights of Columbus, Father Farrell Council, Holiday. He established the first recreational park in Allen Park, Mich., was former vice president of the Sports Car Club of America, Garden City, Mich., and established the first consumers office in Pasco County. He was born in East St. Louis, Ill., and came here in 1955 from Des Moines, Iowa, where he was founder and CEO of Wright Welding Supply. He was president and CEO of Suncoaster Mobile Homes Manufacturing for more than 30 years. He was a pioneer in the aluminum screen porch, cabana and awning business and served as president of Busch Mastercraft Inc. He was co-founder and co-developer of Edgewater Pines Mobile Home Park, Seminole, and Terra Ceia Manor Mobile Home Park, Palmetto. He was Protestant and an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. In recent years, he and his wife founded the Jesse King Scholarship Foundation, which provided scholarships for 14 Seminole High School students to attend college in North Carolina. King also supported other colleges and the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary. He worked as a glass glazier and received a pen for 25 years of faithful service from the local Glaziers Union, Rochester, N.Y. He was a Catholic and a member of Moose Lodge 1030, Clearwater. Survivors include two sons, Thomas, Sarasota, and David, Dallas; two daughters, Janet Smally, Sarasota, and Linda Forgues, Holiday; a sister, Betty Meyer, Rochester; and five grandchildren. Lewis W. - BOYD, MARY MARJORIE "MARGE," 75, of Charleston, S.C., formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday (June 5, 2000) at Seabrook Island, S.C. Born in Miami, she lived in St. Petersburg more than 20 years before moving to Charleston 30 years ago. She was a legal assistant for Dennis E. O'Neill, Seabrook Island. Survivors include a sister, Dorothy L. Lindsay, Charleston; a brother, Claude A. Luke Jr., Sacramento, Calif.; two nieces and two nephews; and her companion, Jordan M. King. - MALLER, ALLAN R. "AL," 68, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (June 25, 2000) at home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came here in 1967 from Oceanside, N.Y., where he was a printer for several years. He owned Unex Machine Shop in St. Petersburg for five years and owned ALCO Associates Insurance Agency, St. Petersburg, for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Congregation B'Nai Israel, St. Petersburg, and the Bayou Club, Pinellas Park. Survivors include his wife of eight years, Elaine; a son, Henry, Seminole; two daughters, Robyn Greenberg, Oldsmar, and Debra Maller Chadwick, Seminole; three stepdaughters, Ilene Goodelman, Atlanta, Debra Caplan, Palm Harbor, and Jami Schulman, Phoenix; a brother, Ronald, Largo; and 12 grandchildren. - THOMPSON, ALGIE, 66, of St. Petersburg, died Friday (June 23, 2000) at National Healthcare Center, St. Petersburg. Born in Dooling, Ga., he came here in 1956 from Vienna, Ga. He was retired from working for the city of St. Petersburg and was Baptist. Survivors include three brothers, T.J., Fred and Emmett, and a sister, Fronnie Davis, all of St. Petersburg.
