  • STRUEVER, WILLIAM M., 71, of High Point, died Thursday (June 29, 2000) at home. He came here four years ago from his native Cincinnati, and was a retired security guard for a detective agency.   • VAN HOOSE, ROBERT J., 80, of Spring Hill, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at home. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he came here nine years ago from Pinellas County and was a retired telephone maintenance supervisor for GTE. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a Methodist, and a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Timber Pines Golf Association.   • CORNETT, WILLIAM CLINE, 79, of Brandon, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) at Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Brandon. Born in Chipley, Ga., he came to the Tampa area in 1924 from Chipley. He was a retired supervisor with Tampa Electric after 30 years of service and a U.S. Army veteran during World War II. He was a member of the Brandon Elks Lodge No. 2383 for 27 years and a charter member of the Brandon Lions Club. He was a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Ronald, Orlando, and Donald, Valrico; a daughter, Donna Smith, Valrico; three sisters, Edna Crosby, Tampa, Evelyn Laws, Brandon, and Eloise O'Brien, Bossier City, La.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Born in St. Charles County, Mo., he came to the Tampa area in 1986 from Oceanside, Calif. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Riverview Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marie; two sons, Charles F.   • RODRIGUEZ, RAY ROMAN, 67, of Tampa, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) in Tampa. Born in Puerto Rico, he came here in 1982 from Puerto Rico. He was a retired sergeant with the Army. He was a member of the Alpha and Omega Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Matilde Roman, seven sons, Derwin Roman, Robert Roman, Micke Roman, David Roman, Henry Roman, Daniel Roman, and Manuel Santiago, and five daughters, Jacqueline Roman, Wanda Roman, Brenda Roman, Helen Roman, and Ruth Santiago, all of Tampa; a brother, Juan Roman, Puerto Rico; two sisters, Paula Roman, Philadelphia, and Ernestine Acosta, Puerto Rico; and 12 grandchildren.   • BREY, COL. ALBERT J. RET., 83, of Empire, Mich., and Port Richey, died Tuesday (June 27, 2000). He was born in Caspian, Mich., and was a retired Director of Facilities Engineering at the U.S. Army Quartermaster Center, Fort Lee, N.J. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and recipient of numerous medals including three WWII Battle Stars, and a Bronze Star, two commemorative ribbons, the Korean Presidential Citation and six more Battle Stars. He was a member and usher for St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Empire. She was an elementary and high school teacher for the Jasper County School System, Georgia, and taught in Jacksonville. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the National Society of Southern Dames, and life member of the Florida Retired Educators Association.   • DOGGETT, FLORENCE C., 88, of Zephyrhills, died Saturday (July 1, 2000). Born in Salem, Mass., she came here four years ago from Maryville, Tenn. She was a member of the Trilacoochee Church of Christ. Born in Belleville, N.J., he came here 25 years ago from Newton, N.J., and was a retired policeman for the state of New Jersey.   • ANDERSON, GUNNARD J., 96, of Clearwater, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at home. He was born in Frandefors, Sweden, and came here in 1972 from Rockford, Ill. He worked as a physical therapist and X-ray technician for 37 years at River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Clearwater, a Mason and a member of the Swedish Cultural and Swedish Historical Societies, Rockford. Survivors include his wife, Svea; a daughter, Mary Anderson, De Kalb, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. National Cremation Society, Largo.
  • OSORIO, ANIBAL M., 62, of Hudson, formerly of Clearwater, died Monday (June 26, 2000). He was born in Colombia, and moved in 1982 to Hudson from Clearwater. He worked as a plant operator for the fertilizer industry. He was a Colombian army veteran and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Casa de Cursillo, and the Colombian American Association. Survivors include his wife, Marie; two sons, Philip, Hudson, and Christian, Tampa; two daughters, Stephanie, Hudson, and Martha, Fort Wayne, Ind.; his father, Roberto, Tampa; four brothers, Roberto and Ricardo, both of Tampa, Jesus, Colombia, and Aquiles, Mississippi; three sisters, Constanza Coton, Clearwater, Rose Harris, Charlottesville, Va., and Julia Nemeth, Tampa; and six grandchildren.   • PENSTON, PHILIP A., 70, of Clearwater, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. He was born in New London, Conn., and came here in 1994 from Media, Pa. He worked as an immigration officer for the Department of Justice and the Immigration and Naturalization Service. He was a Coast Guard veteran of the Korean War with the rank of chief corpsman. He was a coach and officer for the Glenolden and Springfield townships' Boys Clubs, active in the the All-East Football Camp Program and a was founding officer of the Father's Guild for Cardinal O'Hare High School. Locally, he provided immigration services for members of the Philadelphia Phillies. He was Catholic and a member of the Bering Sea Patrol Alaska Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Anne Donohue; two sons, Philip A. III, Palm Harbor, and Michael John, Springfield, Pa.; two stepsons, Charles Paul Donohue, Hammonton, N.J., and Joseph Patrick Donohue, Kawaihae, Hawaii; three daughters, Janice Penston, Palm Harbor, Phyllis Ann Peranteau, Springfield, and Michele Jean Ashton, Brookhaven, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Judie Ann Ashworth, Media, and Joyce Elaine Koleszarik, West Chester, Pa.; a brother, George S., Biloxi, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.     • FALK, GUSTAVE H., 83, of Dunedin, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at Manor Care Dunedin nursing home. He was born in Galesburg, Ill., and came here in 1980 from Peoria, Ill., where he retired as a timekeeper in the maintenance department after 23 years with the Peoria County Highway department. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Dunedin. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Evelyn G.; a brother, Robert, Ocala; a sister, Evelyn Bellis, Streator, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor.
    • MUNRO, MARIE, 95, of Dunedin, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at Mease Dunedin Hospital. She was born in St. Norbert, New Brunswick, and came here in 1979 from Acton, Mass. She retired as a file clerk for an electronics company and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Dunedin. Survivors include a son, Richard A., Dunedin; a brother, Ben Richard, and a sister, Rita Boudreau, both of Moncton, Canada; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.     • BURNS, ETHEL, 76, of Largo, died Thursday (June 29, 2000) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. She was born in Queens, N.Y., and came here in 1974 from Levittown, N.Y.     • DICK, DOROTHY KATHERINE, 85, of Largo, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. She was born in Aliquippa, Pa., and came here in 1996 from Dublin, Ohio. She was a potter and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Seminole. Survivors include a daughter, Jeannette Morris, Largo;. a brother, James Stacy, Wellsville, Ohio; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great- great-grandchild.     • DYER, SHIRLEY M., 76, of Largo, died Wednesday (June 28, 2000) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. She was born in Matawan, N.J., and came here in 1965 from Union Beach, N.J. She was a homemaker and a Navy veteran of World War II. She was Methodist and a member of Augustus Ruser Jr. American Legion Post 273, Madeira Beach. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Lynn Gibson, Largo, and Sandra Rowbothan, Wanamassa, N.J.; two sons, Ronald and George Van Houten, Wanamassa; a brother, Melvin Worth, Largo; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.     • GRUPPE, ROBERT W., 78, of Largo, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) at home. He was born in Hammond, Ind., and came here in 1975 from Indianapolis. He graduated from Indiana University and retired as a schoolteacher in Indiana. He was an accomplished pianist and for the past 12 years he played piano at Alfano's Restaurant, Largo.     • KINCAID, CLIFFORD CHARLES, 71, of Largo, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He was born in West Newton, Pa., and came here in 1961 from Charleroix, Pa. He retired after 25 years as a service technician with the Suburban Propane Co., Clearwater, and was a lieutenant in the Seminole Volunteer Fire Department from 1967 to 1972. He was a sergeant in the Army's 110th Infantry and a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Margaret M.; two sons, Clifford Kincaid Jr., Dade City, and William Stickle, Dunedin; two daughters, Debbie Vasquez, Seminole, and Patty Geiger, Claxton, Ga.; a brother, Richard, Seminole; a sister, Myrna Baker, Tampa; and seven grandchildren.     • PARRISH, THOMAS EUWELL, 58, of Largo, died Thursday (June 29, 2000) at Largo Medical Center. He was born in Largo and was a lifelong resident. He worked as a heavy-equipment operator for Terra Excavating, Largo. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dunedin Ward.     • CYPHER, JEROME D., 73, of Oldsmar, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. He came here in 1980 from his native Pittsburgh, where he worked as an automotive salesman. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Pittsburgh.     • CARPENTER, ROLAND KENNETH, 68, of Palm Harbor, died Thursday (June 29, 2000) at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs. He was born in Hibbing, Minn., and came here in 1984 from Roseville, Minn. He was president of Guardian Enterprises, manager of energy sciences at Honeywell Energy Resources, president and CEO of Aqua Magnetics International and founder and holder of several U.S. and international patents. He was author of several papers on Diamagnetics and was listed in Who's Who in U.S. Executives. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater and Safety Harbor Chambers of Commerce, and the Kiwanis Club of Safety Harbor. His professional memberships include American Hospital Engineering, American Water Works Association and National Association of Corrosion Engineers, Energy Engineers of America. Survivors include his wife, Josephine; two sons, Roland II, Florida and Jeffrey, Minnesota; four daughters, Therese Dumer, Alabama, Margaret Barnum and Caroline Tumini, both of Minnesota, and Lisa Russell, Tennessee; four brothers, Robert, Minnesota, Ross and Seth, both of California, and Simeon, North Carolina; 18 grandchildren; and nine step-grandchildren.     • CAJIAO, HENRY, 80, of Seminole, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) Sabal Palms Health Care Center, Largo. He was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, and came here in 1989 from Brooklyn, N.Y., where he worked as foreman for Bergen Metal Products. He was a member and deacon at Transfiguration Catholic Church, St. Petersburg. In New York he was president of the Catholic Baseball League, a member and deacon at St. Agnes Catholic Church & Sacred Heart Chapel, New York City, and an advocate for the Institute for the Puerto Rican Elderly. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marina; a son, Henry J., and two daughters, Elizabeth Hogrebe and Ninibeth Meyers, Seminole; a brother, Jaime, Germany; a sister, Amparo Clausell, Kissimmee; and three grandchildren, Christopher Hogrebe, and Elizabeth and Rebecca Meyers, all of Seminole.     • RIPPY, NELLIE MAI, 87, of Tarpon Springs, died Wednesday (June 28, 2000) at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation, Tarpon Springs. She was born in Franklin County, Ala., and came here in 1973 from Oak Grove, Tenn. She was a homemaker and Baptist. She was active on citizens band radio with the callsign "Mama Bear." Survivors include three daughters, Della Lindsey, Ozona, Jewell Boyd, Tarpon Springs, and Virginia Goodman, Hermitage, Tenn.; a son, Bobby, Saginaw, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.     • WOLFRAM, KEITH C. "KC," 69, of Columbia, S.C., formerly of Tarpon Springs, died Monday (June 26, 2000) at home. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, and came here from Middletown, Ohio. He worked as a professional dancer and choreographer, photographer, newsman, director in the theater, in softball tournaments and the Ohio Junior Miss pageants. He retired as a European-trained food and beverage director and had worked in several world-class resorts. He was a Navy veteran and graduate of the U.S. Naval Aviation Electronics School. Survivors include his wife, L. Faye, Columbia; three daughters, KayCee Wolfram Ritchie, Arvada, Colo., Kelli Wolfram, Columbia, and and Kim Wolfram, Westminster, Colo.; three stepchildren, Kerry McLean Martin, Clearwater, Shana Leigh Cooper, Largo, and Dana C.
