  • DUNBAR, MARY A., 81, of Homosassa, died Sunday (July 2, 2000). Born in Springville, Iowa, she came here 28 years ago from Ashtabula, Ohio. She was a member of Whittier Friends Meeting, Whittier, Iowa. Survivors include a son, John Tandy, Fancy Gap, Va.; a daughter, Wanda Brady, Homosassa; three brothers, Ivan Hoge, Anamosa, Iowa, Morris Hoge, Springville, Iowa, and Arnold Hoge, Earlham, Iowa; two sisters, Alma Keen, Bloomington, Ind., and Ellen Day, Johnston, Iowa; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.   • HUDDLESTON, JAMES "GLENN", 73, of Crystal River, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at home. Born in Alabaster, Ala., He came here seven years ago and was retired executive for Chevron Oil Co., Birmingham, Ala., Tampa and Plantation. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and attended the Crystal River United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Rotary Club and Jones Restaurant Lunch Bunch, Crystal River, and a former member of the Lions Club and VFW, Pell City, Ala.   • CECH, JOSEPH, 82, of High Point, died Sunday (June 25, 2000) at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Born in Chicago, he came here 15 years ago from Berwyn, Ill., and was a retired steel worker for Link Belt/FMC Crane Manufacturing Company. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the board of directors for the High Point Volunteer Fire Department and Captain of the Fire Police. Survivors include two daughters, Christine Togni, Worthington, Ohio, and Catherine Seida, Elmhurst, Ill; two brothers, John and Peter, both of High Point; a sister, Evelyn Poteracki, High Point; and six grandchildren. She was a kindergarten teacher and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.   • HARLOR, RALPH E., 78, of Seffner, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Integrated Health Services of Brandon. Born in Powell, Ohio, he came here in 1981 from Columbus, Ohio. He was a draftsman for a store fixture manufacturer. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific. Survivors include his wife, Rachel Ann; three sons, William Edward, Moneta, Va., Donald Raymond, Petaluma, Calif., and James Richard, Columbus; a daughter, Ann Johnson, Brandon; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was a communication supervisor in the Air Force and worked for James A. Haley VA Medical Center as the switchboard manager. He was retired from the Air Force and a member of American Legion VFW. He was Catholic.     • KALIN, CHARLES JR., 80, of Clearwater, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. He was born in Masontown, Pa., and came here in 1979 from Hessville, Ind. He retired from mechanical maintenance after 28 years with US Steel (USX) and prior to that had worked 18 years in the coal mines. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Therese's Catholic Church Byzantine Rite, St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Margaret; a son, Charles III, Milwaukee; two brothers, George, Tampa, and Alex, Pittsburgh; a sister, Gloria Kusic, McKeesport, Pa.; and two grandchildren.     • PATTERSON, MARGUERITE LITTS, 94, of Winston-Salem, N.C., formerly of Clearwater, died Sunday (July 2, 2000) at the Brian Center, a nursing home in Winston-Salem. She was born in East Stroudsburg, Pa., came here in 1970 from Royal Oak, Mich., and moved in 1998 to Winston-Salem. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Clearwater.     • PETERS, RAYMOND H., 85, of Clearwater, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. He was born in Woodbury, N.J., and came here in 1979 from Cherry Hill, N.J., where he owned and operated gasoline service stations. Locally, he was a Realtor. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church at Countryside, Clearwater, the Masons and Shrine and a past president of the Lions CLub in New Jersey. Survivors include his wife, Carie Wilkerson; two daughters, Janet Peters Patrick, Hockessin, Del., and Carole Peters Broadwater, Elizabethtown, Pa.; a sister, Edythe Orens, Buena, N.J.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.     • STUMP, MARY L., 72, of Dunedin, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at home. She was born in Grundy, Va., and came here in 1959 from Bristol, Tenn., where she worked for Sperry and Raytheon. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church of Dunedin. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Garland B. Sr.; two sons, Bruce, Seminole, and Steven, Temple Terrace; two daughters, Laura and Karen Stump, both of Clearwater; a brother, Thomas Waldron of Virginia; and two granddaughters, Jacklyn and Michelle Stump, both of Anna Maria Island.     • ADAMS, MARK J., 38, of Largo, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Largo Medical Center. He came here in 1982 from his native Pontiac, Mich. Survivors include a daughter, Nicole Marie Adams, Pontiac; his mother, Vickie S. Nuzzo, St. Petersburg; four brothers, Bryon K.     • BARONICK, MICHAEL P., 77, of Largo, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was born in New York City and came here in 1988. He retired from the Navy after 22 years and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He participated in Operation Deep Freeze as commanding officer of the base site at the first South Pole aircraft landing and was issued the first ever Social Security number from the South Pole. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Heisler-Johnson American Legion Post 119 and Elks Lodge 2159, all of Largo, Elks Lodge 2519, Seminole, and the Fraternal Order of Police. Survivors include three daughters, Angela Palumbo Clardy, Largo, Patricia Baronick, Queens, N.Y., and Delores Antonelli, Cranston, R.I.; a son, Michael, Staten Island, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.     • McGHGHY, FRANCES MARIE, 67, of Largo, died Sunday (July 2, 2000) at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. She was born in Arion, Iowa, and came here in 1987 from Sioux City, Iowa. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Largo, and was active in the church child care program. Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Richard; three sons, Arlo H. and Greg D. Schwingdorf, both of Largo, and Christopher S. Schwingdorf Sr., Greenville, S.C.; a daughter, Lisa M.     • METZGER, TALFORD A., 97, of Largo, died Sunday (July 2, 2000) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. He was born in Portland, Ind., and came here in 1946 from Albany, Ind. He retired after 12 years with the Largo Fire Department and also worked for the Largo Police Department. He was a craftsman and made and sold seashell jewelry and novelties. He was a member of Sunset Point Baptist Church, Clearwater. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Nondas; two daughters, Barbara Keene, Largo, and Laverne Parrish, Lake Butler; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.     • HILL, OLIVE L., 89, of Kenneth City, died Sunday (July 2, 2000) at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park, after a long illness. She was born in Bellville, Ohio. She was a sales clerk for H.L. Reed department store, Mansfield, Ohio, and retired after 26 years with Maas Brothers, St. Petersburg. Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.     • BELL, CLARENCE, 75, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Vencor Hospital -- St. Petersburg. He came here in 1989 from his native Tampa where he was a construction worker.     • BLAZIC, ZORAN "Z," 43, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) of a heart attack. Born in Vienna, Austria, he came here in 1967 from Chicago. He was manager for a local restaurant and attended St. Sava Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church.     • CAPORUSCIO, DOMINICK A., 85, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (July 2, 2000) at Arbors at St. Petersburg, Seminole. He came here in 1980 from Utica, N.Y. He was a plumbing contractor. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Genevieve; two sons, Richard, St. Pete Beach, and Florie, Peekskill, N.Y.; a daughter, Vivian Sullivan, Utica; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.     • FLYNN, JOHN E., 76, of Brookridge, Brooksville, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday (June 26, 2000) at home. Born in Portland, Maine, he moved to Brooksville seven years ago from St. Petersburg. He graduated from the University of Maine and was owner and operator for 15 years of Flynn's Speedy Printing, St. Petersburg. He was a Navy veteran, a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and the Brookridge Golf Association. Survivors include his wife, Mary Hubbard; two sons, James W. and John E.     • LEWIS, RUTH A., 87, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Vencor Hospital -- St. Petersburg. Born in Alberton, Prince Edward Island, Canada, she came here in 1973 from Canada. She retired after 15 years as a legal secretary in Prince Edward Island. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene, St. Petersburg. Survivors include a daughter, Edna K. MacAuley, Treasure Island; a son, Gordon W. Lewis, Woburn, Mass.; a brother, Wesley Oliver, Pittsfield, Maine; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.     • LYNN, RICHARD H., 79, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at Shore Acres Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He came here in 1978 from his native Bethlehem, Pa. He retired after 40 years as a supervisor for Bethlehem Steel and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Mason and a member of H. Stanley Goodwin Lodge 648, Pennsylvania; College Hill Moravian Church, Bethlehem; Shriner Egypt Temple AAONMS, Tampa; Scottish Rite Lodge Council Chapter Consistory; American Legion Post 0273, Madeira Beach; Elks Lodge 2159, Largo; North End Wanderers Athletic Association; and Kentucky Colonels. He also was a life member of Fullerton Fire Co., Whitehall, Pa. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary; a daughter, Carole Evancho, Newark, Del.; two sons, Richard L., Bethlehem, and Thomas J., Allentown, Pa.; a sister, Shirley Nagle, Bethlehem; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.     • SCHREIBER, SHIRLEY G., 75, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) at home. A native of Cincinnati, she came here in 1989 from Reading, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, C. David; a son, David D., Tacoma, Wash.; two daughters, Judy Predit and Donna Hogan, both of Hamilton, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. National Cremation Society, St. Petersburg.
    • WHALEY, HALLIE HELEN, 79, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. She came here in 1985 from her native Chicago.     • MARKESE, JAMES JOSEPH, 91, of Tierra Verde, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at St. Anthony's Hospital. He came here in 1988 from his native Chicago. He retired in 1973 after 48 years as a mechanical engineer for GTE. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Strowger Men's Club of GTE. Survivors include a son, James A., and a daughter, Geraldine J.
