Court clerk named to college board
INVERNESS -- Gov. Jeb Bush has appointed Clerk of the Circuit Court Betty Strifler to serve on Central Florida Community College's Board of Trustees, the school has announced. The state Board of Education still must approve the appointment. Strifler was elected clerk in 1988 and has held that position since. On the college board, Strifler will replace Citrus businessman Stan Olsen, who is resigning.
